Here’s Nokia N96 8MP, the first Nokia phone to break the 8 megapixel mark. It’s N-Gage ready, S60-powered and sports Carl Zeiss Tessar optics, 8GB internal Flash memory, a 2.6″ OLED QVGA screen, assisted GPS (as well as compass) and a stand for easy video watching.
The Nokia N86 8MP is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2009 with an estimated retail price of EUR 375, before taxes and subsidies.

Behold, the next plastic peripheral with which you pretend to have real musical skills. A UK press release and DJ Hero’s Twitter page say this is controller for DJ Hero, in which the player uses a turntable to match beats and scratch “records”. Presumably, the player spins the disc back and forth while pressing the three buttons to trigger changes in the music. I must say, I was hoping for something more, such as a crossfader and maybe a needle for realism, plus oversized headphones with which you listen through one ear, condescendingly looking out on your audience, but it’s too early to judge.
